Express Your Individuality With The ASUS ROG Zephyrus G14 Gaming Laptop, Out Now In Singapore

First announced in January, the ASUS ROG Zephyrus G14 is finally here in Singapore.

Many of us love to customise our laptops, which is often done with fun stickers slapped on the laptop’s cover, but the Zephyrus G14 takes it one step further with its AniMe Matrix LED Display that allows its users to flash their custom graphics, animation, or text of choice on their laptop.

To allow its users to express their individuality through the Zephyrus G14, ASUS has outfitted the laptop with 1,215 mini LEDs that emit a white glow. According to ASUS, it took over 15 iterations for the company to perfect the mask used to evenly distribute light from each LED. The number of LEDs were also carefully managed to help minimise heat, controller hardware, and power requirements.

Of course, the Zephyrus G14 is not all about looking good as it also comes with the latest NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1650 Ti graphics card to help power through high frame rate requirements for popular games. Thanks to the dedicated video encoder from the GPU, the Zephyrus G14 is also capable of allowing users to game and stream simultaneously without one negatively impacting the other.

Aside from the new GPU, the Zephyrus G14 also comes with a 120Hz refresh rate which is not commonly seen on 14-inch laptops. The high refresh rate helps to make sure the laptop’s display remains smooth during high-intensity gameplay.

Helping to ensure the laptop’s display runs smoothly is the AMD FreeSync technology that comes with the laptop. It works by synchronising the refresh rate of the display to the frame rate of the GPU, which helps to minimise stuttering and input lag, while also eliminating visual tearing that can ruin the immersion of a game.

AMD FreeSync technology is certainly nothing new but it gains greater functionality when paired with the new AMD Ryzen 4000 Series Mobile Processors that is used to power the Zephyrus G14. The AMB Ryzen 4000 CPU comes with 8 cores and 16 threads to make sure users are able to power through even the most demanding of workloads on the laptop.

The Zephyrus G14 also comes with 16GB of DDR4-3200 RAM and 1TB of NVMe SSD so that users are able to multitask with ease on the laptop with minimal load time for their apps and games.

For its ports, the laptop comes with USB Type-C ports with support for USB Power Delivery, two USB Type-A ports, one HDMI port, and one 3.5mm headphone and microphone combo jack. The USB Type-C’s support for USB Power delivery means it can be powered by a 65W Type-C adapter, that is much smaller than the 180W unit needed for powerful gameplay, for lighter workloads.

The Zephyrus G14 will be available from today for S$2,498 and can be found on the ASUS Exclusive Store, ASUS Online Store, ASUS’ Lazada store, and authorised retailers.
