These new characters are not part of any existing Dungeons & Dragons lore as the production looks to steer away from any existing material.

Plot details of the movie have not been revealed yet, so we won’t be sure whether the movie will be about the game play itself or a fantasy film inspired by the game.

The directors that made the hit movie Game Night – Jonathan Goldstein and John Francis, are set to join the production of the movie as well. Paramount and eOne are joining hands to produce and finance the movie, with eOne distributing the movie to the UK and Canada and Paramount distributing it to the rest of the world.

As excited as we are, we will have to wait till May 27 2022 to watch the movie. For now, we can settle for the older D&D movies and playing the game. You can also check out D&D’s website for some free resources for the board game.
