The auteur behind the successful LEGO Batman movie, Chris McKay, is reportedly in negotiations to helm the upcoming movie about Dungeons & Dragons.
As The Hollywood Reporter reports, talks with Paramount are ongoing. Rob Letterman was first rumoured to be the one taking the reins back in 2016, and Baby Driver’s Ansel Elgort was in early negotiations to star.
The script will be written by Michael Gilio, rather than Joe Manganiello (Justice League, True Blood).
Will this affect the Nightwing movie that is also directed by McKay? Only time will tell.
The rebooted Dungeons & Dragons movie is slated for a July 23, 2021 release.
