Dragon Quest Gets Its Very Own Japanese Theme Park In Spring 2021

Fans of the popular JRPG series Dragon Quest will be pleased to know that a theme park based on the franchise will be coming to the island of Awaji in Hyogo next Spring to celebrate the franchise’s 35th anniversary.

The attraction, dubbed Dragon Quest Island, will be located at the Nijigen no Mori theme park, which was also home to the Godzilla attraction. Yes, the one that allowed guests to zipline into the mouth of a giant kaiju.

As reported by Anime News Network, Dragon Quest Island will feature an original story which allows guests to embark on their own adventures to collect armour and weapons. It will feature original monsters for guests to battle. The theme park will even have its own original mascot Homirotto, a Headslime monster that guides guests through their journey with useful tips and guides.

Exclusive Dragon Quest merchandise and food will also be sold in the park.
