Disney has unveiled an exciting preview of its 2025 programming slate in a new sizzle reel, spotlighting a blend of new arrivals and returning favourites set to captivate viewers on its streaming platforms, Disney+ and Hulu.
Among the highlights of the Disney sizzle reel is the return of The Bear for its fourth season and the conclusion of The Handmaid’s Tale in its sixth and final season. Additionally, fresh footage from Andor season 2 indicates new adventures in the Star Wars universe, set to premiere in April 2025.
Marvel fans will be treated to new series Daredevil: Born Again and Ironheart, enriching the Marvel Cinematic Universe with their scheduled releases in March and June 2025, respectively. The sizzle reel also teases the debut of several new shows including Glen Powell’s sports-inspired Chad Powers and Ellen Pompeo’s drama Good American Family.
A significant highlight from the Disney sizzle reel is Alien: Earth, a prequel series to the iconic 1979 movie Alien. This series promises to bring classic sci-fi horror to the small screen, featuring the fearsome xenomorphs in a chilling new narrative.
Further excitement is generated with quick glimpses into Skeleton Crew, premiering in December 2024, and the adventurous second season of Percy Jackson and the Olympians, though its release date remains unannounced.
In addition to these, the sizzle reel included scenes from upcoming new entries like the horror-comedy Goosebumps: The Vanishing, set for release in January 2025, and Paradise, starring Sterling K. Brown.
Disney’s 2025 lineup in its new sizzle reel promises a diverse array of content from high-stakes dramas to animated adventures and superhero sagas, aiming to cater to a broad audience. This strategic release of new and continuing series underscores Disney’s commitment to maintaining its robust presence in the competitive streaming market.
