If you’ve ever heard of It Takes Two then you’d be in for a treat. Helming Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons is the same mastermind behind 2021’s game of the year for many, Josef Fares. For anyone who’s in love with 2 player narrative-driven games, Fares’ portfolio of titles illustrates the key steps he had taken in order culminating with It Takes Two.
Focusing on the adventures of Najee and Naia in Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons, players will traverse across a fantasy world seeking a cure for their father. Along the way, the brothers and players will encounter a whole host of characters ranging from orcs and trolls and it’s down to the player to help the brothers overcome the challenges. With each thumbstick controlling one brother, each with different strengths, players will have to overcome a variety of challenges in their journey.
If you have time in the afternoon with a small break in between Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons is the perfect game to play with a friend. Its short runtime of about 3-4 hours is the perfect escape to seek an experience that is different from a movie.
