‘Bridgerton’ Season 4 Tops U.S. Streaming Charts, ‘Fallout’ Season 2 Audience Grows Weekly

A 19-month wait has done little to douse the flames of romance in Bridgerton, as Season 4 of the Netflix hit series topped the overall streaming charts for 26 January to 1 February, according to Nielsen.

Bridgerton Season 4

The media analytics firm listed 3.03 billion minutes of viewing for the week, 10 per cent higher than the opening week of the third season in May 2024. Of the total, 2.24 billion minutes (around 74 per cent) came from the four new episodes that premiered on 29 January, with previous seasons accounting for the remaining figures. The other four episodes dropped on 26 February as the second part of Season 4 — just like its predecessor, the latest entry was split into two parts, debuting four weeks apart.

In second place is Stranger Things with 1.3 billion minutes of watch time, followed by Prime Video’s The Wrecking Crew. HBO Max’s The Pitt (1.21 billion minutes), which hit another series high for the fourth consecutive week, took fourth place, while Fallout rounded out the top five. Notably, the Ella Purnell-led series also grew 35 per cent week to week, racking up 1.1 billion minutes a week before its Season 2 finale on 3 February — and a good sign for Season 3, which is due to begin filming this summer.

It should be noted that Nielsen’s streaming ratings measure only U.S. audiences on TV sets and exclude minutes watched on computers or mobile devices, so actual viewership figures will be higher across all titles globally.
