After the sudden departure of original series lead Barry Keoghan in FX’s Y: The Last Man TV series last month, another has taken over his place in Ben Schnetzer.
Variety reports that the former Warcraft and Snowden star will be taking on the role of Yorick Brown, the main character of the Eisner Award-winning comic books by Brian K. Vaughan, which was ordered to series by FX last year. We’re hoping that Schnetzer’s casting will be final, as production for the series is slated to commence in April.
Schnetzer will be joining the likes of Diane Lane, Lashana Lynch, Main Irelend, Imogen Poots, Amber Tamblyn and Juliana Canfield in Y: The Last Man. Eliza Clark will serve as the series’ showrunner and executive producer. Melina Matsoukas (Insecure, Queen & Slim) will direct the series pilot.
No premiere date for Y: The Last Man has yet been announced.
