‘Beetlejuice’ Sequel Unveils Snazzy Title Along With September Release

We’ve waited 36 years for a Beetlejuice sequel since the original 1988 classic, and we now have a new poster that teases the name of the sequel, along with a 6 September 2024 release date. Even better, you can catch it on Friday the 13th of September, which adds to the spooky vibe.

The sequel is officially called, wait for it — Beetlejuice Beetlejuice. If the name sounds familiar, that’s because it’s the incantation to summon Beetlejuice himself in the movies. It needs to be spoken three times in order to summon him, so we can probably guess what a future third movie might be called.

Michael Keaton, Winona Ryder, and Catherine O’Hara will reprise their respective roles in the long-awaited sequel. Wednesday and Scream star Jenna Ortega will play the daughter of Ryder’s character alongside newcomers Willem Dafoe, Monica Bellucci, and Justin Theroux.
