ASUS’ ROG Swift Is Their First 42-Inch 4K OLED Gaming Monitor With Blistering-Fast 0.1ms Response Time

At Consumers Electronics Show (CES) 2022, ASUS announced the new ROG Swift OLED gaming monitor. The gaming monitor comes in 48-inch and 42-inch sizes in the form of the ROG Swift OLED PG48UQ and PG42UQ.

This news comes after LG announced their 42-inch OLED TV. Aside from the size difference, both monitors share the space specs.

The key difference here between the two will be the presence of a DisplayPort with the ROG Swift OLED.

Both monitors feature a 4K display, an impressive 1,000,000 to 1 contrast ratio, a lightning-fast 0.1ms response time, a 120Hz refresh rate, 10-bit colour with 98 percent coverage of the DCI-P3 colour space, and HDR10 support. Both models also feature two HDMI 2.1 ports, two HDMI 2.0 ports, one DisplayPort jack, audio inputs, and a USB hub.

Additionally, the monitors’ displays both use micro-texture coating which will reduce glare – a common problem for OLED displays. The anti-glare coating also ensures the best colour accuracy.

ASUS hasn’t shared a release date or price for these monitors, but seeing how these are OLED gaming monitors, they might be on the pricier side.
