‘Armored Core VI’ Players Go Wild With Awesome Gundam, Evangelion And Kirby Mechs

Where some Armored Core VI: Fires of Rubicon players continue to feed the fire, others are feeding their love for customising mechs. The long-awaited game from Bandai Namco doesn’t only bring spectacular combat action, but also offers extensive paint and decal editors that can be used to create cool-looking builds. Or goofy ones, even.

In an impressive show of creativity, new and veteran fans have shown off their masterful recreations of existing mecha, as well as some highly-original designs. The Evangelion Unit-01, XVX-016 Gundam Aerial, G1 Shockwave of Transformers fame, GaoGaiGar, and Megas XLR builds are among those that got a makeover, looking as sharp as they come.

Not forgetting two more schemes inspired by anime classics: Kaneda’s bike from Akira, and Space Battleship Yamato.

But the Internet is a big place, and there are always more original creations to go around. A Nintendo 64-inspired build, a Warhammer 40K mech, a McDonald’s-themed AC, and lastly, a mech that takes after the cat logo and colour scheme of Japan’s Yamato Transport company, certainly didn’t disappoint:

Of course, there are also those who simply can’t resist the urge to create gag builds. While the idea of using clearance sticker decals for a mech is pretty funny (in a clever way), this Kirby creation below takes the cake with its accursed design:
