Apple Announces Sept 12 ‘Wonderlust’ Event, New iPhone 15 And Watch 9 Expected

It’s that time of the year again! No, not Christmas, but rather the much-anticipated Apple Launch Event.

The tech brand today announced that its event, titled ‘Wonderlust’, will be held on 12 September. It will be streamed on Apple’s website at 10am PT (13 Sept, 1am SGT).

While the announcement does not mention direct products, it is likely that the brand will be launching the new iPhone 15 and Watch 9.

The new iPhone 15 is expected to use a USB-C charging port after the European Union passed a landmark law in October requiring all mobile phones, tablets and cameras sold in the region to use USB-C for wired charging. According to reports, the iPhone 15 Pro and Pro Max models will also feature titanium edges instead of stainless steel.

New colourways can also be expected from the iPhone 15 lineup. As seen on the animated logo on the online invite, one is led to believe that the iPhone 15 will be available in metallic hues of grey, black and blue.

As for wearables, it is possible that Apple will announce new Apple Watch models at the event such as the Watch 9 or an updated version of the high-end Apple Watch Ultra.

The Apple event is not too far off so stay tuned while we report LIVE from Apple Park on 12 September.
