The first casting wave for the Among Us animated series has been revealed, and it’s kicking things off with a bang. Ashley Johnson (The Last of Us, Critical Role), Elijah Wood (The Lord of the Rings trilogy), Randall Park (Fresh off the Boat, Ant-Man), and Yvette Nicole Brown (Community, Drake & Josh) will star in the show from CBS Studios and Innersloth, the independent studio behind the popular social deception game it’s based on.
Owen Dennis serves as creator and executive producer on the project, which follows a similar premise as its game counterpart. “Members of your crew have been replaced by an alien shapeshifter intent on causing confusion, sabotaging the ship, and killing everyone,” reads the official logline. “Root out the ‘Impostor’ or fall victim to its murderous designs.”
The animation is being helmed by Titmouse of Big Mouth and Star Trek: Lower Decks fame, with no network or streamer attached just yet. Park will voice Red, captain of the Skeld Ship, while Johnson plays Purple, the sarcastic chief of security. Brown and Wood round out the list as Orange, the head of HR, and unpaid intern Green, respectively.

The news comes after a teaser image drop in late January, alongside a caption on Instagram that says, “Patient Crewmates are rewarded with a pizza party (totally safe)(not a trip). Work on the #AmongUsAnimated show is progressing nicely!!!”.
There’s currently no release date for the Among Us series.
