Fans of 2018’s amazing post-apocalyptic thriller A Quiet Place will be pleased to hear that a sequel is underway, and is scheduled to premiere on May 15, 2020.
And who better to break the news than from the director of the first film himself, John Krasinski, on his social media.
…time to go back.

It’s a cryptic image, but not cryptic enough to fool us. That image certainly looks like what we’d see in the post-apocalyptic setting of A Quiet Place, and with the date listed on the Tweet, it all but confirms that the sequel to the Golden Globe-winning film is happening for sure.
Krasinski will likely return as director, and his wife and co-star Emily Blunt (Mary Poppins Returns) will return as main character Evelyn Abbott. The producers of the original movie, Brad Fuller and Andrew Form, are reportedly back on board as well, with the movie in its pre-production stage.
Fuller and Form have also teamed up once more to take on the monumental task of soft-rebooting the Michael Bay-directed Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles movies, with production slated to begin at the end of 2019.
More details regarding A Quiet Place 2 will be revealed most likely later in the year.

Forgive him in advance if he suddenly blurts out terms such as “Mind Flayer” and “Magic Missile”, because never once does he stop thinking about his next Dungeons & Dragons game.
