Amazon MGM Studios’ Masters of the Universe has teased one final look at the film ahead of its launch on 4 June 2026, offering more of that old-school He-Man energy alongside a better glimpse of the movie’s cast of supporting characters.
“Over 40 years ago… He saved his universe. He inspired a generation. Now, He-Man returns,” reads the trailer’s description, and just like it suggests, the film is set to go all in on the nostalgia, infusing the original 1983 cartoon and toyline into its narrative by providing direct links to them and the origins of its protagonist, Nicholas Galitzine’s Adam Glenn.
Once things heat up and we see Adam being pulled back to the mystical world of Eternia, the trailer also shines a spotlight on not just He-Man and his main companions, Teela (Camila Mendes) and Duncan/Man-At-Arms (Idris Elba), but many of the side characters they will meet along the way, too, like Mekaneck (James Wilkinson), Ram-Man (Jon Xue Zhang), and Fisto (Jóhannes Haukur Jóhannesson), with the trio showing off their wacky powers. Finally, the trailer also offers a sneak peek at what’s sure to be an epic final battle between He-Man and Skeletor (Jared Leto), alongside a glimpse at Morena Baccarin’s Scorceress, Teela’s biological mother, and the current guardian of Castle Grayskull.

Masters of the Universe hails from director Travis Knight, and will also star Alison Brie as Evil-Lyn, James Purefoy as King Randor, Charlotte Riley as Queen Marlena and Kristen Wiig as the voice of Roboto. From what we’ve seen so far, the movie is truly shaping up to be one for the fans, balancing just the right amount of cheesiness and epic ’80s action that those who grew up watching the original cartoons expect from the franchise. It’s cashing in on the nostalgia and not trying to change up the formula like so many other modern reboots we see nowadays, and maybe that’s exactly what we need.
Masters of the Universe hits theatres on 4 June 2026.
