‘Daredevil: Born Again’ Trailer Drops Jessica Jones Twist & Teases Punisher Special

Marvel has dropped another trailer for Daredevil: Born Again Season Two, and this time, it’s packed with not just gritty action, but also exciting reveals for Matt Murdock’s allies and frienemies alike, including a major Jessica Jones update and a first look at the Punisher’s next chapter.

With Season Two now at its midpoint, the newest trailer continues to build towards a larger clash within New York City between Charlie Cox’s Matt Murdock, who is now forced to work from the shadows and Vincent D’Onofrio’s Wilson Fisk, who has tightened his grip on the city as its mayor as he hunts down Daredevil. The trailer also opens with a pretty intense action scene centred on Wilson Bethel’s Bullseye, setting the violent tone straight away.

While action-packed throughout, perhaps the biggest tease from the trailer came from a quick but impactful scene between Murdock and Krysten Ritter’s Jessica Jones, who returns to kick ass in the second season following her last appearance in Marvel’s Jessica Jones, with the latter explaining that she has a daughter. Comic fans will recognise this to be Danielle, the daughter of Jones and fellow superhero Luke Cage, and with Mike Colter expected to reprise his role as Cage for Daredevil: Born Again Season Three, this certainly seems to hint at a deeper connection between the characters.

The trailer also closed with another surprise for yet another familiar face, offering a first look at The Punisher: One Last Kill, which will see Jon Bernthal’s anti-hero return for an upcoming Marvel Special Presentation set to launch on Disney+ after Daredevil: Born Again Season Two wraps in May. It’s the briefest of looks, but its official synopsis provides more details, reading “As Frank Castle searches for meaning beyond revenge, an unexpected force pulls him back into the fight.”

Daredevil: Born Again Season Two is now streaming on Disney+, and will run for eight episodes. A third season is in production and set to premiere in March 2027.
