Mention toys and China’s Blokees comes to mind, as the toy maker has been making waves in the model kit industry for the past 5 years, with strong lineups across big franchises such as Transformers, Star Wars, Marvel, DC, Ultraman, Kamen Rider, Jurassic World and many others.
During their annual Blokees 2026 Partners Conference in Shanghai, the China toy maker announced a whole slew of popular characters who will be making their toy debut in its existing repertoire of plastic model kits.
Founded in 2014 as Shanghai Bloks Technology Group Co., Ltd., the company started making educational block toys targeted at kids, similar to those by LEGO’s DUPLO line or Mattel’s Mega Bloks. While information surrounding the company’s origins is sparse in the years that followed, somewhere along the line, it rebranded itself to Blokees and began focusing on plastic model kits in 2021, and that’s where it struck gold.
For 2026, there’s quite a bit to unpack so here are the first looks and prototypes showcased at the conference:
- Star Wars – Champion Class Mandalorian & Grogu (in Beskar armour), Phase 1 Clone Trooper, Bo Katan and Anakin Skywalker
- Marvel – Champion Class (Marvel Rivals) Moon Knight, Invisible Woman, Jeff the Land Shark and Ultron
- DC – Champion Class The Flash, Absolute Batman, Harley Quinn and Nightwing. Defender Version Justice League.
- Transformers – Action Edition (Transformers: Prime) Optimus Prime and Optimus Prime 2.0. Galaxy Version Quintesson and Optimus Prime’s deathbed.
- Mega Man – Mega Man Zero and Mega Man Star Force.
- Terraventure Jurassic World – 1:64 scale TC T.Rex and Triceratops, 1:35 scale TL T.Rex.
- Blokees Wheels – C02 Ultraman, C03 Transformers and a new E01 Batman.
- Astral Rally – Defender Version 01 (Blokees’ own new IP)
- Toy Story – Coming Soon (no further information as yet)
- Harry Potter – Coming Soon (no further information as yet)
- Anpanman – Coming Soon (no further information as yet)
- Ultraman, Kamen Rider, Naruto, Saint Seiya, Evangelion, Hatsune Miku and Herospire lines will all continue to have new additions throughout the year too.
As for the near future, in 2027, Blokees teased product lines from Godzilla, Barbie, JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure as well as Fast & Furious x Ford and Cyberpunk 2077 for their Blokees Wheels line.
