Hasbro is finally lighting our darkest hour. In celebration of the 40th Anniversary of 1986’s The Transformers: The Movie, the company is releasing the Studio Series Roleplay Replica of the Matrix of Leadership.
As can be seen in the pictures, this thing of beauty is scaled to human size, so fans can slip their fingers into the handles to pull open the Matrix. Yes, it looks like this thing opens up (sorry Ultra Magnus) as needed. When the frame is pulled open, the pulsing blue lights in the core get brighter and “The Touch” by Stan Bush plays, just as we will always remember from that pivotal moment in the movie. The Matrix of Leadership can also sit on the display stand when open or closed. And finally, it will be rechargeable via a USB-C port located on the back of the inner core.
The Matrix of Leadership will retail for US$124.99 and pre-orders will start on 16 February 2026, at 1PM ET on Hasbro Pulse, Amazon, Big Bad Toy Store, and other participating retailers. It will start shipping in Summer 2026. Till All Are One!
