Disney’s sixth Ice Age film now has an official name, Ice Age: Boiling Point, with the prehistoric animated sequel set to hit theatres on 5 February 2027.

As reported by Variety, the film was announced during the Destination D23: A Journey Around the Worlds of Disney presentation in Orlando, and follows the project’s initial reveal back in November 2024.
According to the film’s official description, Ice Age: Boiling Point is set to be a “dinosaur-and-lava-filled madcap adventure that takes Manny, Sid, Diego, Ellie, Scrat and the rest of the herd to visit never-before-seen corners of the treacherous Lost World.” The film will also feature a returning voice cast of Ray Romano (Everybody Loves Raymond), John Leguizamo (John Wick), Denis Leary (The Amazing Spider-Man), Simon Pegg (Hot Fuzz) and Queen Latifah (22 Jump Street), who will reprise their roles as Manny, Sid, Diego, Buck and Ellie, respectively.
The sixth film marks a return to the franchise after more than 10 years following 2016’s Ice Age: Collision Course, and will also be the first film in the franchise not to be produced by Blue Sky Studios, following its closure in April 2021, with production instead being handled by 20th Century Animation alongside returning franchise producer Lori Forte.

Apart from Ice Age: Boiling Point, the same presentation also showcased other Disney projects, such as its next animated original film, Hexed, which centres around an awkward teenage boy who discovers he has magical powers, alongside teasers for other upcoming films like Toy Story 5, Tron: Ares and Zootopia 2.
Ice Age: Boiling Point is set to defrost and hit theatres on 5 February 2027.
