Nikke x Resident Evil Brings Survival Horror Twist To Mobile Sci-Fi Shooter

Shift Up’s mobile sci-fi shooter Goddess of Victory: Nikke is getting locked and loaded with some fresh new faces, as the game is set for an all-star team-up with Capcom’s iconic survival horror franchise, Resident Evil.

Unveiled at the recently concluded Gamescom 2025, the Nikke x Resident Evil collaboration was teased via a brief trailer, which showcases the game character Poli stalking a group of cultists performing a mysterious ritual, only to be gripped by the bloodstained hands of what looks like the Moroaica hooded monster from Resident Evil Village.

The scene then cuts to a familiar-looking mansion, where two of the game’s heroes are confronted by none other than Jill Valentine, the iconic recurring protagonist of the Resident Evil franchise, sporting an aptly anime look and proportion in the familiar Nikke style.

While this is just a short tease, fans can certainly expect more Resident Evil characters, such as Ada Wong or Claire Redfield, to join the Nikke collaboration alongside Jill, and in series tradition, would probably include additional bits of lore to make them fit into the game’s timeline, similar to how the title handled previous collaborations like the one with Shift Up’s 2024 action-adventure title, Stellar Blade.

Released in 2022 for Android and iOS, Goddess of Victory: Nikke is a third-person gacha shooter where players recruit and command various maidens to battle against aliens known as Raptures in a post-apocalyptic future. The game not only features a healthy dose of fan service in terms of its character designs, but is also well-known for having a rich lore and deep backstories for its characters to go along with it. The game also received a PC port in 2023, bringing it to a wider audience.

Resident Evil, on the other hand, needs no introduction in the gaming space and is one of the most iconic survival horror franchises ever made and one of Capcom’s best-known franchises since the original game’s debut in 1996. The franchise also made an appearance at Gamescom 2025, providing fans with a better look at its much-anticipated upcoming sequel, Resident Evil Requiem.

With the Nikke x Resident Evil collaboration, it’s a clash of two gaming giants in their own right, and is sure to draw in fans of both franchises when it releases, with the in-game event launch timing being revealed at a later date via the Nikke website.
