Charlie Hunnam, Djimon Hounsou, Bae Doona and Ray Fisher are headed on a trip, in their favourite spaceship, to Zack Snyder‘s latest epic sci-fi fantasy feature Rebel Moon for Netflix.
The newly announced ensemble cast joins Jena Malone, Staz Nair, E. Duffy, Charlotte Maggi, Sky Yang and lead star Sofia Boutella.
Character details are still kept under wraps but Hounsou is likely to play a character named General Titus, Bae is a nemesis who is proficient with a sword, while Fisher is a resistance fighter named Blood Axe
Rebel Moon sees a peaceful colony on the edge of the galaxy that is threatened by the armies of a tyrannical regent named Belisarius. Desperate, the colonists dispatch a young woman with a mysterious past to seek out warriors from neighboring planets to help them make a stand.
This movie reunites director Snyder with Justice League actor Fisher. Viewers would’ve last seen Hounsou in the recent The King’s Man movie and recognize Hunnam from Son’s of Anarchy. Korean actress Bae is best known for her role in Kingdom and Sense 8. She recently appeared in Netflix’s The Silent Sea, another space-based feature film made for the streamer.
