‘Wednesday’ Season 2 Trailer Teases Lady Gaga’s Arrival & Principal Weems’ Return

The trailer for Netflix’s Wednesday Season 2 Part 2 has arrived, and along with it, the reveal of what appears to be Lady Gaga‘s voice, as well as the late Principal Weems’ return.

In Season 1, Gwendoline Christie’s (Game of Thrones) Principal Weems was killed by Wednesday Addams’ (Jenna Ortega, Beetlejuice Beetlejuice) dorm mom and botanical sciences teacher, Marilyn Thornhill (Christina Ricci, Yellowjackets). However, this time, she has returned, introducing herself as Wednesday’s spirit guide who seemingly can only be seen by Wednesday.

In the trailer, Wednesday awakens from her coma, where her nurse turns around and reveals herself to be Weems, greeting her with a creepily bright “Rise and shine, sleepyhead! Ready for your sponge bath?” Wednesday and Weems are then transported to an ethereal open-air space with a door that leads nowhere and a massive gorgon head statue with a fireplace in its mouth.

Weems says, “This isn’t hell, Miss Adams, but I understand the confusion.” To which Wednesday asks, “If I’m not dead, why are you here?”, prompting Weems to reply with a disarming grin, “Because I am your new spirit guide. Surprise!”

As the trailer progresses, Wednesday explains to Enid (Emma Myers, A Minecraft Movie) that Tyler (Hunter Doohan, Your Honor) is planning to kill both of them, but that she plans to fix it. Enid replies angrily, “Fix it? You’re the reason he escaped!” Weems remarks to Wednesday that Enid has a point, but Enid is unable to see her when Wednesday verbally dismisses Weems’s comment.

The trailer goes on to feature shots of Wednesday, Enid and others making their way through Nevermore and Jericho, accompanied by Weems’ voiceover narration, “If you don’t hurry, you’ll have nothing left to save.”
