UNO and Vikings don’t usually end up paired together, but this unlikely combo is exactly what Mattel and Ubisoft have brought, quite literally, to the table. The UNO Valhalla DLC brings a piece of Assassin’s Creed Valhalla to the classic family card game.
In this DLC no one saw coming, the board becomes part of the gameplay for the first time in UNO. Players will discard cards and travel around the board to collect treasure and cargos while engaging in card fights against other players to slow them down or unlock passive perks. Players can also encounter random events, including one where a raid is conducted on other players. This is much more than a cosmetic makeover for UNO, and changes the game of UNO as we know it.
This is one DLC that definitely piques one’s curiosity, and seems to add more gameplay depth to the card game, but the exact amount of complexity added remains to be seen.
The Valhalla DLC for UNO is now available for purchase individually on the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and on the Ubisoft Store on PC for US$4.99. It will also be available on the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S through backward compatibility.
