The Op And Games Workshop Join Forces To Develop Talisman: Star Wars Board Game

Star Wars is coming to the tabletop once more, this time as a new Talisman board game, and fans of the franchise will want to be looking out for this one, because it’s a doozy (well, sort of).

Announced on Star Wars Day, Talisman: Star Wars is developed by The Op and Games Workshop, and is slated to come out sometime in Fall 2020. This classic dice-rolling adventure game puts 2 to 6 players in the shoes of iconic characters in the Star Wars franchise. The aim of the game is for players to race to the middle of the board, where Emperor Palpatine resides, and either take the Sith Lord down, or take on his apprenticeship.

Though no actual sculpted miniatures have been shown, players can choose up to 12 playable characters. These include Luke Skywalker, Darth Vader, Rey, Kylo Ren, Count Dooku, Obi-Wan Kenobi, Ahsoka Tano, Seventh Sister, and Mace Windu.

Gameplay for Talisman: Star Wars will run from 90 – 120 minutes, and will retail for US$59.99.
