The Book of Boba Fett Reveals How He Escaped The Sarlacc Pit And It’s Disappointing

After 38 years and countless discussions, arguments and depictions in extended media, including comic books and novels, on how iconic bounty hunter Boba Fett escaped the Sarlacc Pit in Return of the Jedi, the first episode of Disney+‘s The Book of Boba Fett has revealed details of the long-standing mystery and it’s….. quite boring.

He simply crawled his way out.

Ok, technically, he took oxygen from a dead stormtrooper to feed his flamethrower, and used it to burn his way out but if you were looking for some elaborate tale of his he did it, the debut episode of the highly anticipated show did nothing to add to Fett’s dangerous reputation.

Subsequently, we find out that Fett is still suffering the damage from his escape and requires constant use of Bacta Tanks to heal his body.

And if you’re wondering how he lost his Mandalorian armour to the jawas… he was unconscious after escaping the Sarlacc Pit so they stole it off him. And as we saw in The Mandalorian, the armour and Fett were separated for many years until Fett recovered it.

Yawn. Fett’s journey to recover his lost armour is more exciting than his escape from the Sarlacc, which fans waited 38 years to discover.

We wonder what other boring details this book of Boba Fett will reveal next.
