‘Tekken: Bloodline’ Unleashes Hard-Hitting Anime Goodness This August

If you have been keeping your eye on the anime projects over at streaming giants Netflix, then the upcoming Tekken: Bloodline anime should be high on your radar. Taking inspiration from the long-running fighting game franchise, a brand new trailer released by Netflix has set an 18 August release date for Tekken: Bloodline.

With the focus on Jin Kazama, we see that the unfortunate death of his mother at the hands of Ogre kickstarts the story, with revenge the first thing on his mind. It doesn’t take long for Heihachi Mishima to make an appearance, as Jin begins his training to enter The King of Iron First Tournament.

There are also several recognisable faces that appear in the trailer, including Nina, Xiaoyu, Paul, Leroy, King, and Kazuya. Those who enjoy the games will likely also spot the many references in the snippets shown thus far, including combos and even the hit sparks.

Whether you like the Tekken series or not, the impending arrival of Tekken: Bloodline will definitely convert some on the fence to try the game out, and why not, it is a good fighting game series after all, with Tekken 7 being the latest instalment.

In any case, we don’t have much longer to wait, with just a month to go before the first season is live on Netflix. Until then, it gives fans plenty of time to train up before the real tournament begins.
