Super Smash Bros. Ultimate Adds Fire Emblem’s Byleth

2019’s Fire Emblem: Three Houses was a bonafide hit for Nintendo, and one of the best games in the franchise’s storied history, and that momentum is not stopping with Byleth, the player’s avatar, joining the roster of fighters in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate.

In the latest presentation, Game Director Masahiro Sakurai revealed the new addition, which will bring a character with less mobility but great ranged prowess. Byleth will be wielding the hero’s relic, which changes according to what direction you attack in.

With Byleth comes a new Three Houses stage as well, set in the Garreg Mach Monastery from the game, and there will be 11 songs from the strategy game added as well. All the content will be available on January 28.

Super Smash Bros. Ultimate already has a substantial number of Fire Emblem characters, and fans have made their voices heard for other additions. The next wave of fighters will add six more characters, and we will have to wait and see who those are in the coming months.
