Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League Possibly Delayed Till 2023

First announced in 2020, Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League is Rocksteady Studio’s highly anticipated game based on DC’s Suicide Squad franchise.

The game had a trailer in 2021, and was scheduled for a 2022 release, but it looks like the game has been quietly delayed till 2023, according to Bloomberg. On Twitter, Warner Media’s CEO, Jason Kilar, tweeted about releasing “a full slate of highly anticipated games” for 2022 and attached the logos of Hogwarts Legacy and Gotham Knights with the tweet. Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League is neither mentioned nor featured in the tweet, suggesting that it has been delayed.

The game will star antiheroes and villains such as Harley Quinn, King Shark, Deadshot, and Captain Boomerang as they fight against a mind-controlled Justice League. It will also be set within the same canon as the Batman: Arkham series, which is also developed by Rocksteady Studios. The last major title from Rocksteady Studios was Arkham Knight in 2015, making this new game a release that fans of Rocksteady Studios are looking forward to.

Due to the pandemic, many major game releases have been delayed, and it looks like Suicide Squad: Kill the justice League is yet another victim of circumstance. Hopefully, the wait will be worth it when the game is finally released.
