Starbucks Singapore Releases Impossible Rendang Pie For Your Sinful Meatless Delights

It’s been about a year and a half since Impossible Foods took Singapore by storm. Since then, it’s become even more prominent, expanding beyond just restaurants and even becoming purchasable as an ingredient for your home cooking.

This time, however, Starbucks has joined in on the Impossible fun with the launch of the Impossible Rendang Pie.

It is available now at all Starbucks outlets islandwide, as well as for delivery via GrabFood, Deliveroo and Foodpanda. It will be a limited-time only addition to Starbucks’ Shiok Food Menu until 11 August 2020.

A meatless twist on a classic local flavour, the Impossible Rendang Pie is a sweet and spicy mouthful waiting to be devoured, with a filling of ground plant-based Impossible Burger, slow-cooked in a rich rendang gravy. Accompanying it are some edamame, carrots and potatoes, as well as a hard-boiled egg in the centre. And all this juicy goodness is encased, still piping-hot, in a flaky, buttery shortcrust pastry to boot.

For those that have been wanting their coffee fix with a little plant-based something something on the side from Starbucks, this is the moment you’ve been waiting for.
