The Star Wars: Visions anime has unveiled the first trailer for its spin-off, The Ninth Jedi, which sees the return of Lah Kara when it premieres on Disney+ on 5 August 2026.
The two-minute trailer was revealed at Anime Expo 2026 and sees Kara continuing her mission to find her missing father and evade Jedi Hunters. This follows her two previous adventures in the Star Wars Visions series, a story that began with the Volume 1 short, The Ninth Jedi, and continued with The Ninth Jedi – Child of Hope in Volume 3.
Alongside the trailer, the first poster for the series has also been released, with both English and Japanese versions, which see a silhouette of Kara standing with her green lightsaber illuminating the darkness.
Star Wars Visions Presents – The Ninth Jedi sees Kenji Kamiyama (The Lord of the Rings: The War of the Rohirrim) as its supervising director and Shunsuke Tada (Legend of the Galactic Heroes: Die Neue These) as director, with Production I.G in charge of its animation and producing alongside Lucasfilm.


Star Wars Visions Presents – The Ninth Jedi will premiere on 5 August 2026 on Disney+, with its synopsis reading, “Kara and her ragtag Jedi crew seek out to find worthy Jedi to fight against an increasingly powerful warlord.”
