Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order Will Not Just Be A 5 Hour Experience

With the release of the first trailer as well as a confirmed launch date for Respawn Entertainment‘s upcoming game Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order during Star Wars Celebration 2019, many fans were left wondering exactly how many hours they will need to spend playing the game once it goes live.

While details for most other aspects of the game are sparse, including the exact length of the game, Game Director Stig Asmussen, and Lucasfilm’s Steve Blank have revealed that fans should not expect Jedi: Fallen Order to be just a “five-hour game”.

Fans were understandably worried for Jedi: Fallen Order, seeing as how many were left disappointed by Star Wars Battlefront 2’s short story.

Many took to social media to comment on how the upcoming game was likely to only be five-hours long, especially after Respawn Entertainment CEO VInce Zampella announced that the game is going to be single-player only, with no microtransactions.

Asmussen and Blank were quick to dispel such rumours during an interview for Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order at Star Wars Celebration 2019.

“It will not be a short game in terms of time,” Asmussen said during the interview. “I read a few things. Comments like “Oh, it’s going to be a five-hour game,” after Vince Zampella announced that it’s just going to be a single player, not microtransactions and stuff like that. It will be a quality experience. “

With this, fans can be a little more hopeful that Respawn and EA will release a game that is significantly more padded out with good story and gameplay. Though one can only hope that the upcoming game will not be instead filled with tedious and mind-numbing plot points and missions put in just to stretch out the play time.

Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order will launch on November 15, 2019, for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
