Star Trek: Discovery Explores A Season 4 Renewal

Good news Trekkies! Star Trek: Discovery will be renewed for a fourth season on CBS All Access. The exciting news was officially announced by CBS who waited one day after the premiere of season three to do so.

The announcement was made via a video featuring Sonequa Martin-Green (Commander Burnham), Doug Jones (Commander Saru); along with executive producers and co-showrunners Alex Kurtzman and Michelle Paradise.

In the video, Kurtzman proudly proclaims, “We are back!” Martin-Green exclaims, “Oh my goodness, I am so excited to be back on set…It’s going to be great to see everybody and I think we are really going to love on each other.” Jones adds, “I am looking forward to the one thing I always look most forward to when we get to come back to another season of Star Trek: Discovery. And that is to be reunited with my family again.”

Rumours had already been circulating the internet for some time now. A fan on Twitter, Moe Khalaf (@moekhalaf) even allegedly spotted signage for the filming crew back in September.

 Star Trek: Discovery season three debuted on 15 October 2020 while Discovery season four will begin production on 2 November 2020 in Ontario, Canada.
