‘Spy x Family Code: White’ Movie Drops First Teaser And December Release Date

2023 looks set to be a great year for fans of Spy x Family. In addition to a second season and a limited-time themed café in Singapore, the anime will also make its big screen debut in the form of Spy x Family Code: White.

The animated feature, which was first announced last year, has unveiled a new teaser trailer that gives an inkling of its all-new original story. In it, the Forger family goes for a vacation after Loid hears about a cooking competition at Eden Academy that rewards winners with a Stella Award. Loid decides Anya will enter and serve the principal’s favourite dessert, but since it won’t be authentic, he decides to take his family to the dish’s place of origin. In true Anya fashion, she discovers a chocolate treat and accidentally sets off a string of events that may threaten world peace, resulting in both Loid and Yor springing into action, and herself holding up a toy gun in the last scene.

Spy x Family Code: White will open on 22 December in Japan, as revealed in the trailer. Series creator Tatsuya Endō, serving as supervisor, is credited with the original work and original character designs for the movie.

The anime’s second season, meanwhile, is slated to air in October this year, with Kazuhiro Furuhashi and Takahiro Harada returning as director and assistant director respectively. Ichiro Okouchi (Code Geass, Mobile Suit Gundam: The Witch from Mercury) will serve as script supervisor, replacing Furuhashi.
