‘Severance’ Season 2 Sets Release But Only In Jan 2025

Praise Kier! At long last, fans of Severance can rejoice and mark their calendars. The much-anticipated second season of the Apple TV+ hit series is set to premiere on 17 January 2025, almost three years after the first season released. The announcement comes with a brief 40-second teaser, giving a sneak peek at familiar faces back at Lumon Industries.

Severance, starring Adam Scott as Mark Scout, who works on the “severed floor” at Lumon, a place that makes your own office — no matter how bad it is — look like Disney World. But Mark likes it. Or thinks he likes it. Meanwhile, we as viewers have a few concerns. What, for instance, is he actually doing all day for Lumon? What’s with the creepy cult-like vibe everywhere? What happened to his buddy Petey? And why are people so excited about waffle parties?

Severance Season 2 January 2025

The first season left audiences on the edge of their seats, exploring a chilling experiment in “work-life balance” where employees have their memories surgically divided between work and personal lives through a procedure called ‘severing’. Viewers questioned the true nature of Mark’s work and his personal life, especially with the shocking revelations of the final episode.

Last season, we also had a chance to interview Ben Stiller and Adam Scott, where they discussed how the sci-fi thriller hits closer to reality than you might think.

In Season 2 of Severance, Mark and his colleagues will face the dire consequences of meddling with the severance barrier, pushing them further down a path of intrigue and woe. The season, consisting of 10 episodes, will air weekly on Fridays through 21 March 2025.

The journey to this announcement has been long, with the production facing delays due to the writers’ and actors’ strikes. However, much to the delight of fans Stiller confirmed that filming resumed in January and wrapped in April of this year.

The returning cast includes Britt Lower, Tramell Tillman, Zach Cherry, Jen Tullock, Michael Chernus, Dichen Lachman, John Turturro, Christopher Walken, and Patricia Arquette, with new series regular Sarah Bock.

With its unique blend of dark humor, corporate dystopia, and emotional depth, Severance is a must-watch. If you still haven’t watched it, now’s the time to begin.
