Ninja Theory’s cinematic action-adventure sequel, Senua’s Saga: Hellblade II, is getting an enhanced edition on 12 August, finally bringing a 60fps performance mode to consoles, alongside its debut on the PS5.
As announced via Xbox Wire, the game’s enhanced version will come as a free update for current owners of the game across Xbox Series X|S and PC, adding a much-requested performance mode optimised for 60fps (although this feature won’t be available on the Xbox Series S), as the game originally launched on consoles at a locked 30fps.
Other new features include the return of the Dark Rot Challenge mode, a permadeath feature returning from the original 2017 title, Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice, which saw the Dark Rot grow on Senua’s arm each time she dies, culminating in a permanent game over upon enough deaths. The update will also enhance the game’s photo mode with additional tools, alongside including some behind-the-scenes developer commentary.
The PS5 version of Senua’s Saga: Hellblade II Enhanced will include all the additions mentioned above, alongside haptic feedback support for the console’s DualSense controllers.

The PS5 version of Senua’s Saga: Hellblade II Enhanced will arrive in two editions: A standard edition priced at S$71.90, which includes the base game and all its additional features, and a S$89.90 deluxe edition, which includes the base game, its original soundtrack, and an updated PS5 version of Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice. Those who purchased the original 2017 game on the PS4 will also be able to upgrade it to the PS5 version for free.
Senua’s Saga: Hellblade II Enhanced will be released on 12 August 2025 for the PS5, Xbox Series X|S and PC.
