Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6 Gaming Test — Zenless Zone Zero, Honkai: Star Rail, COD: Warzone Mobile & PUBG

Sometimes, size does matter. While the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold series has continued to adopt the less-is-more design philosophy, its foldable nature also means an extended screen for more viewing real estate, offering added work and play versatility.

The company’s latest refresh looks to lighten the load with a slimmer, lighter build. Announced at the recent Unpacked event held on 10 July, the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6 now weighs 239 grams, down from 250 grams before, measuring 153.5 x 132.6 x 5.6mm when unfolded. It runs a Qualcomm Snapdragon Gen 3 processor, which works with a 7.6-inch AMOLED 2X display to ensure smooth performance.

In particular, the souped-up hardware makes gaming an enjoyable affair. The likes of Zenless Zone Zero, Honkai: Star Rail, Call of Duty: Warzone Mobile and PUBG Mobile unfolded (hah) nicely across the display, with the 120Hz refresh rate and 2,160 x 1,856 resolution delivering extra visual flourish.

More notably, the device’s cooling capabilities are the standout here. Far exceeding expectations, the vapour cooler proves to be highly efficient at dissipating heat, keeping things cool for extended play sessions, even with more GPU-intensive titles.
