Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 6 X Doraemon Tie-Up Limited To Just 800 Sets For Hong Kong

The robotic no-ear cat Doraemon has grown into a cultural icon over the years, and Samsung is the latest to embrace its infectious energy. In celebration of its upcoming launch, the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 6 is getting a special Doraemon collaboration in Hong Kong — the first of its kind in the world.

Limited to 800 sets, it includes a new phone, a themed phone stand, and a custom flipsuit case. The phone stand features a standing figure of the character, which ships with a magnetic design, while the opening animation, dynamic lock screen, home screen wallpaper, and app icon design are all part of a built-in Doraemon Galaxy Theme. A scrambled mosaic adorns the case, decked out in the signature colours of white and blue, as well as the occasional red and yellow.

Pre-orders for the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 6 Doraemon Limited Edition is currently open. It retails for HK$10,698 (S$1,842), packs 12GB of RAM and 512GB of storage, and includes an exclusive Doraemon Special Edition Tote Bag with every pre-order.

The news comes less than a week after Samsung unveiled its refreshed foldable lineup at July’s Unpacked event. Then, it was announced that the Galaxy Z Flip 6 would tout the latest Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor, alongside enhanced AI capabilities, and an improved camera system.

Elsewhere, the device remains largely unchanged from its predecessor. It comes in a little leaner at 85.1 x 71.9 x 14.9mm (versus 15.1mm), but weighs the same 187 grams, and measures 165.1 x 71.9 x 6.9mm when unfolded. The 6.7-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X main screen is also a familiar sight, sporting a FHD+ resolution (2,640 x 1,080) and a 120Hz refresh rate, as well as a 3.4-inch Super AMOLED secondary display with a resolution of 720 x 748.
