Robert Kirkman’s Violent Superhero Animated Series “Invincible” Coming To Singapore Amazon Prime On 26 March

These days, there’s plenty of superheroes soaring through TV programs. The Falcon and the Winter Soldier on Disney+, Zack Snyder’s Justice League on HBO Max, and now Amazon Prime Video with their adaptation of Robert Kirkman’s superhero comic Invincible.

Releasing the first three episodes on 26 March 2021, Invincible is a coming-of-age story that meets a classic superhero tale. The story revolves around 17-year-old Mark Grayson (Steven Yeun), who’s just like every other guy his age — except his father is the most powerful superhero on the planet, Omni-Man (J.K. Simmons).

The animated series looks and feel like a 90s cartoon and over the course of eight episodes, may dive into classic superhero questions of destiny, loyalty, kindness and duty. Unlike other superhero series, Invincible leans onto its own voice and particular strangeness.

Based on the beloved comic book series, Invincible will bring all the twists, turns and violent frenzy that fans love and expect from Kirkman. After the release, new episodes will be available each following Friday and will culminate in an action-packed season finale on 30 April 2021.

The hour-per-episode series also stars Grey’s Anatomy’s Sandra Oh, Zazie Beetz (Deadpool 2), Gillian Jacobs (Community), Star Trek’s Zachary Quinto, Brooklyn Nine-Nine’s Jason Mantzoukas, Melise Jow (Unfabulous), Star Wars’ Mark Hamill, Mahershala Ali (Luke Cage), Seth Rogen and more. With such a well-known and funny cast, Invincible is not to be missed.
