Resident Evil Movie Reboot Set Images Give Glimpses Of New-Look Raccoon City

Though it might be a while before we get to see the Resident Evil movie reboot by Constantin Film and Sony Pictures in theatres, new set photos have been surfacing all over social media to give as a sneak peek at what’s to come.

Filming has recently begun in Ontario, Canada, and many netizens on Twitter have spotted what sets of what look to be parts of Raccoon City, including an abandoned hospital, and even the Raccoon City Police Department (via Game Informer).

The third picture above depicts what looks to be a horde of zombies surrounding the gates of the RPD in gritty fashion. So far, the reboot looks good, though many will no doubt be curious to know what the main cast members look like.

In case you missed it, the reboot’s main cast has already been confirmed, including Hannah John-Kamen as Jill Valentine, Robbie Amell as Chris Redfield, Kaya Scodelario as Claire Redfield, Avan Jogia as Leon S. Kennedy, Neal McDonough as William Birkin, and Tom Hopper as Wesker.

Sony Pictures has yet to announce a release date for the Resident Evil live-action movie reboot. Meanwhile, fans of the franchise can expect the Netflix animated series Resident Evil: Infinite Darkness, as well as the upcoming latest video game in the series, Resident Evil Village, to release in 2021.
