Although the world went crazy over the reveal of the logo for the PS5, the excitement remains high for the eventual unveiling of the next-generation PlayStation 5. Sony has not announced any plans just yet, but has continued to tease us with snippets of information.
The latest tidbit comes from Sony Interactive Entertainment President, Jim Ryan, who was speaking to Business Insider Japan (translated by Gematsu). When it comes to the new DualShock 5, Ryan promised a big change is coming.
“Playing the racing game Gran Turismo Sport with a PS5 controller is a completely different experience.
While it runs well with the previous controller, there is no going back after you experience the detailed road surface via haptic control and play using the adaptive triggers.”
As previously revealed, the DualShock 5 will feature haptic control together with adaptive triggers, and is being touted to be game-changing.
Whether that will be true or just pure marketing speak, only time will tell. Until the full reveal of the PS5 is upon us, we will settle for whatever we can learn ahead of holiday 2020.
