The title says it all. Lazada is celebrating its third birthday and while we’re hoping that the price of the new Nintendo Switch will hit historic lows, it is actually the blind bags Lazada is selling that caught our eye.

Available from March 21 onwards, and for S$29, you’d be able to score a blind bag with contents that contain items worth up to S$100 or more. This concept is not entirely new, but definitely something worth gunning for. Considering that you’re already getting a great deal right off the bat, the only chance you’d be taking is obtaining an item which you already have.

Scouring Lazada’s site, we found that there are quite a few brands which have more than enough items to easily clear the S$100 value mark. They are – JBL, Sennheiser, Razer, Logitech, Laneige, Nivea, Eucerin, Blackmores, Kinohimitsu, Neutrogena, Philips Avent, Taka Jewellery, 3M, Lenovo and SanDisk.

We received a supposed Razer box which most gamers would actually aim for. It came with a Razer Abyssus 2000 + Goliathus Control Fissure Bundle, a Razer L33t Pack, Razer 8GB flash drive and a Lazada Birthday plush toy.

Comparing it with the actual list price on Lazada itself, the Razer Abyssus 2000 + Goliathus Control Fissure Bundle alone already costs S$53.90. How often can you get all these items for just S$29?

We’re not quite sure if all boxes would look similar to this, but it’s a risk we’re certainly willing to take. The best way to make this all work would be to gather a diverse range of buddies and trade the unwanted items away. Win win for everyone.

You can actually sign up right now to be alerted once the blind boxes go on sale, so there’s a good chance as there are very limited quantities to be obtained. If you have more cash in the pocket, there are boxes worth S$300 going for S$50. Sounds tempting.

May the odds be forever in your favour.
