Get ready, One Piece fans; the super-popular anime series will finally make its debut on Netflix on 12 June! The long-running seafaring series, currently just shy of a thousand episodes, will first appear on the streamer in the US, Canada, Australia and New Zealand.
As for what story arcs fans can expect to see when the anime, hits Netflix, it will be featuring the first two sagas: East Blue and Alabasta. Just to give newcomers some perspective, that’s a massive 130 episodes of One Piece to binge on — perfect if you’re still in quarantine by then.
And the best part is that it’s only scratching the surface of the 23-year-old ongoing story. Netflix has yet to update on when One Piece will be released in streamers in the rest of the world, but rest assured, it will arrive in due time.
In the meantime, Netflix is also currently working on a live-action adaptation for One Piece.
