Pokémon fans are in for a treat as a brand-new four-part animated series, Pokémon: Paldean Winds, is set to debut on YouTube come 6 September 2023. This series, created by acclaimed animation powerhouse Wit Studio, promises to take fans on a new adventure filled with excitement and the magic that the franchise is known for.
A new trailer for the show was unveiled during the most recent Pokémon Presents, giving fans a sneak peek into the Paldea region – the central setting for Pokémon Scarlet and Violet. It explores the world of Pokémon training from the perspective of a student, who learns to overcome the challenges and savour the victories that come with the process.
Further details, including an official synopsis and the names of the characters, remain under wraps, but Pokémon Scarlet and Violet is a good starting point to gather some insights before the series airs. The game was released last year, and introduced both newcomers and longtime fans to an open-world setting.
Alongside the web series, the livestream showcase also announced several updates, including a Mew and Mewtwo Tera Raid, more details of the upcoming DLC, and a sequel to the Detective Pikachu game.
Pokémon: Paldean Winds will premiere 6 September.
