Netflix Opening Retail Stores In 2025 Where Fans Can Play, Shop And Eat

Netflix aims to bring fans closer to the shows they love.

The streaming giant is planning to launch physical retail stores called ‘Netflix House’ in 2025 where fans play, shop, eat and immerse themselves into the worlds of their favourite movies and TV shows. An example includes participating in an obstacle course straight out of Squid Game.

Netflix House came after the company’s experimentation with pop-ups in the last few years (via Bloomberg). In the past, Netflix has hosted The Queen’s Ball: A Bridgerton Experience where fans can drink and dance to classical renditions of their favourite pop songs and live their Bridgerton dreams for a night.

It also opened up a pop-up restaurant called Netflix Bites where fans can enjoy food and drinks from Stranger Things and Netflix’s various cooking shows.

“We’ve seen how much fans love to immerse themselves in the world of our movies and TV shows, and we’ve been thinking a lot about how we take that to the next level,” said Josh Simon, Netflix’s VP of Consumer Products.

Netflix House is also an ingenious way for the company to earn new revenue aside from continuously raising the prices of its subscription plans.

The locations of the stores will be announced at a later date, but it will open in the U.S. first and then the rest of the world after. As of now, fans can show their love for the various movies and TV shows via the streaming platform’s official merchandise store.
