‘Marvel Rivals’ Assembles Captain America & Winter Soldier For Dec; All Heroes Free

During Gamescom Opening Night Live, NetEase Games and Marvel Games dropped an exciting announcement for Marvel fans — Marvel Rivals, the highly-anticipated Super Hero Team-Based PvP Shooter, is set to officially launch on 6 December 2024.

The game promises to let players assemble their dream teams of Marvel heroes and villains, each equipped with unique abilities, to battle it out across a series of destructible maps inspired by the vast Marvel Multiverse. One major highlight? All heroes will be free to play right at launch, giving players full access to the entire roster from day one.

What’s more, fan-favourite characters Captain America and the Winter Soldier are joining the lineup, bringing their iconic skills and powers to the fray. In the reveal trailer, Captain America appears to have the ability to reflect enemy projectiles with his iconic shield. Meanwhile, the Winter Soldier has received an upgrade to his mechanical arm from a version of Captain America from the year 2099, allowing it to transform into metallic tendrils to strike opponents or pull them closer.

Plus, players can look forward to exploring the newly unveiled map, the Intergalactic Empire of Wakanda, which aims to add fresh, dynamic challenges to the game. With its unique hero roles and thrilling Team-Up Abilities, Marvel Rivals is shaping up to be an action-packed experience for Marvel fans on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S.
