Take A Peek At Lazada’s New Regional ‘Lazada One’ Office In Singapore

Lazada has officially launched its new regional headquarters, Lazada One. Located in the central Bras Basah district in Singapore, Lazada One spans 109,000 square feet and takes up six floors. Each floor differs from the next, with the first being a visitor centre on the ground floor followed by designated floors for the local and regional teams.

The opening of the new office has been timed perfectly as well. In 2022, Lazada is celebrating its 10th year anniversary and they have big ambitions for the future of the company.

Each floor has its own pantry, numerous work pods, and meeting rooms that are spruced up and designed to be as comfy and welcoming. When designing Lazada One, creating a future hybrid workplace that focused on collaboration was a key consideration. And it shows!

Employees work in whatever space they feel the most comfortable in and have the option to work in an enclosed space or an open workspace where they can be joined by other colleagues to work silently together, conduct a meeting or just have a breather. These workspaces are also themed that vary from the likes of a coffee shop aesthetic to the iconic rounded blue tables and chairs that were commonly found under HDB blocks in the early 2000s.

The office also features a live-moss display wall, a ping pong table, and wellness rooms that give employees the chance to get some shut-eye or escape the corporate work life for a while throughout the day.

The meeting rooms available in the office are also themed on each floor. Level 5 featured rooms that were named after iconic tourist spots in Singapore such as Universal Studios Singapore, Marina Bay Sands, Esplanade and Haji Lane just to name a few. Another floor named its meeting rooms after malls such as Seletar Mall and East Point Mall.

Maximizing the big office space, each team – whether marketing or Redmart for example – have a special space of their own too for collaboration. The wide regional team has more flexibility to convert open spaces to a town hall for major meetings or use dividers to get some privacy whilst the folks working at Lazada’s Redmart have more open desks and spaces to test out brand new products and figure out the best possible way to deliver said items to Redmart customers safely.

In addition to the launch of Lazada One, the e-commerce platform has also announced the launch of Lazada Foundation, an initiative that aims to award scholarships and provide growth opportunities to empower women and youth across Southeast Asia. This is just one of Lazada’s major plans to support young talent to pursue their education and excel academically without financial hurdles. In addition, these new talents will also receive career and internship opportunities too.

This foundation will be a sustained commitment across the company’s 6 markets in Southeast Asia: Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand Vietnam,
