The Jujutsu Kaisen anime has dropped the first trailer for its fourth season, which is set to wrap up its Culling Game Arc with some of the most intense battles the series has seen so far.
As reported by Crunchyroll, Jujutsu Kaisen’s Season 4 trailer was revealed during The MAPPA 15th Anniversary Lineup Reveal, with Takeru Sato (Chainsaw Man) taking over directorial duties while the anime’s previous helmer, Shota Goshozono, now takes on the role of chief director at studio MAPPA. The series will be written once more by Hiroshi Seko, with Yosuke Yajima, Sota Yamazaki, and Hiromi Niwa in charge of character design, and Yoshimasa Teuri composing its music.
While brief, the trailer does offer a glimpse of some of the battles to come in the fourth season. The Culling Game Arc is already one of the most intense arcs of the original manga, and the anime is now set to bring one of the most insane battles to life, as it will see Yuki Tsukumo and Choso facing off against series antagonist Kenjaku.
The Jujutsu Kaisen anime is based on the 2018 shōnen manga of the same name, written by Gege Akutami, with the manga consisting of 30 volumes from March 2018 to September 2024. A 24-episode first season of the anime was produced by MAPPA and aired from 3 October 2020 to 27 March 2021, followed by a second and third season in 2023 and 2026, respectively. A prequel film, Jujutsu Kaisen 0, also premiered in Japanese theatres in 2021.

Jujutsu Kaisen follows high schooler Yuji Itadori, who is thrust into the supernatural world of Jujutsu Sorcerers. After swallowing a cursed talisman, the rotting finger of the legendary demon Sukuna, to save his friends, Yuji becomes the unwilling host for the evil entity. To prevent Sukuna’s full resurrection and protect humanity from deadly Cursed Spirits born from negative human emotions, Yuji enrols in the Tokyo Prefectural Jujutsu High School, where he embarks on a mission with his friends to locate and consume all of Sukuna’s remaining fingers.
Jujutsu Kaisen: The Culling Game Part 2 is now in production.
