‘Hideo Kojima: Connecting Worlds’ Documentary Debuts On Disney+ Spring 2024

Hideo Kojima is undoubtedly one of the biggest names in gaming, long associated with the Metal Gear Solid series and the outlandish Death Stranding. He is also well-known for being a fan of film and storytelling, so it wouldn’t be a surprise to find out the creator is willing to share more via his own documentary, Hideo Kojima: Connecting Worlds.

In partnership with PlayStation Studios, fans all over the world will soon be able to witness all the hard work and hours spent by Kojima trying to do his thing. This will be a visually captivating documentary that gives a rare insight into his creative process as he launches his own independent studio and sets about developing Death Stranding.

While its content remains a mystery to the wider world, what we do know is that Hideo Kojima: Connecting Worlds will bring players on a journey into one of the leading creative minds when it comes to video games, and possibly give us a better understanding of the art form through the eyes of world-class talent.

Its world premiere was at the Tribeca Film Festival, which took place in June in New York, and will come to Disney+ in early 2024. Directed by Glen Milner and produced by Ben Hilton, it also sees appearances from the likes of George Miller, Guillermo del Toro, Nicholas Winding Refn, Grimes, Norman Reedus, Woodkid, Chvrches and many others.

At The Game Awards, Kojima also revealed that he is working on a new horror game, OD, alongside Jordan Peele. This will be his first game done in partnership with Xbox Game Studios, and stars Sophia Lillis, Hunter Schafer, and Udo Kier.
