Henry Cavill Teases New Mass Effect Project

There’s no universe Henry Cavill hasn’t stepped onto yet. From Krypton to Rivia, the man has already brought two significant roles from the world of comics and novel (or video game) to life.

In his recent Instagram post, Cavill has shared a photo of himself with the caption “Secret project? Or just a handful of paper with random words on it…. Guess you’ll have to wait and see. Happy hump day all”. Definitely not a script from The Witcher Season 2, the mysterious post has gotten a lot of attention and fans have been hustling to find out what it means.

Thanks to GamePressure, using a program called Focus Magic, they revealed the “script” Cavil was holding on to in his cryptic Instagram post and guess what? “Cerberus”, “Tali’Zorah” and “Geth” were a few of the words in it and all of them spell Mass Effect.

An action role-playing video game developed by BioWare, Mass Effect was known to have an amazing narrative, art direction, characters and gameplay despite the controversial ending of the final installment of its trilogy, Mass Effect 3.

The entire text seems to follow the text from the last entry’s Wikipedia page.

“Following the events on Tuchanka and a failed coup by Cerberus to take over the Citadel, the quarians offer their support to the Alliance if Shepard helps them reclaim their homeworld, Rannoch, from the geth,” The Wikipedia page reads. “Assisted by a quarian, either Tali’Zorah or Admiral Daro’Xen, Shepard boards a geth dreadnought and rescues a captive geth unit, either Legion or a facsimile occupied by a geth virtual intelligence (VI), then disables the Reaper control signal over the geth.”

The buzz of a possible Mass Effect film has been going around for a while but this is the latest and most substantial update we have thus far. However, we still have no confirmation if it is a live-action movie or a video game voiceover that Cavill is a part of, nor do we actually know what role he might be holding on to this time.

No matter, after saving Rivia as Geralt and joining the Justice League, it looks like Cavill is now heading back to space for some interstellar action and we can’t wait.
