Geralt of Rivia’s journey is preparing for its final ride, as production on The Witcher Season 5 continues to move forward. Even before Season 4 has reached audiences, a fresh batch of leaked set photos has surfaced online, giving fans an early look at Liam Hemsworth in full costume as Geralt. After Henry Cavill’s departure, Hemsworth officially stepped into the role in 2022, signing on to lead the fourth and fifth seasons.
The new images, shared by fan site Redanian Intelligence, show Hemsworth sporting the White Wolf’s familiar long blond hair, sword at the ready. Familiar faces also appear in the set leaks, including Joey Batey as Jaskier and Meng’er Zhang as Milva. Laurence Fishburne, who joins the cast as Emiel Regis, was also spotted on set, marking his formal entrance into the Witcher universe.
Although Season 4 has not yet premiered, glimpses of the Season 5 set suggest that the story may venture into material from The Tower of the Swallow, one of the later novels in Andrzej Sapkowski’s saga. Speculation points to scenes involving beekeepers and druids, though without the context of Season 4, it remains unclear exactly how closely the adaptation will follow the books’ original structure.

Much of the supporting cast remains in place, with Freya Allan returning as Ciri and Anya Chalotra back as Yennefer, ensuring that the series retains continuity even as it faces a major change in its lead role. Kim Bodnia, who played Vesemir, will not return for Season 4 due to scheduling conflicts, and Netflix has yet to announce who will step into the mentor’s shoes.
With no confirmed release date for Season 4, audiences are left waiting for an official glimpse of Hemsworth’s full debut as Geralt. Production moving forward on the final season shows Netflix’s commitment to wrapping the epic saga with a planned conclusion rather than an abrupt end. Whether Hemsworth’s Geralt can win over a fandom still loyal to Cavill’s portrayal remains to be seen.
